While there are no current options for Mercedes-Benz vehicles from Mechman or Excessive alternators, there is always the option of adding a battery reserve and Down4Sound offers a variety of battery options. It is important to note that adding a battery may store more power, but it also increases the load on the alternator. Most stock alternators fall anywhere between 60 and 120 amps. So even if you add batteries, it is possible your stock alternator will limit the current that can be sent to those additional batteries. Some battery options from Down4Sound include:
If you have a stock alternator it would be highly suggested to utilize a simple AGM battery upgrade. AGM batteries are offered by XS Power. That way you do not overload your stock alternator.
